Drawing Revision Control & Submittal Tracker

A done-for-you architecture and engineering automation built for the Project Architect, connecting Airtable so the work below happens on its own.

    How it works

What this automation does, step by step

    1. Every time a drawing set is revised and issued, this automation logs the revision number, date, and scope of changes, notifies all consultants and subconsultants of the updated set, and archives the superseded drawings in a clearly marked "superseded" folder so no one builds from an outdated sheet.

    2. When a submittal is sent to the contractor for review, the system starts a tracking clock and sends a reminder at 7 days and 14 days if no review response has been received, because a submittal sitting unanswered is a submittal that becomes a schedule delay.

    Tools it connects
    • Project management or BIM platform (e.g., Procore, Autodesk BIM 360, or Newforma)
    • Zapier or Make.com
    • Google Drive or SharePoint (drawing archive)
    • Email (consultant revision notifications)
    • Airtable (submittal log and review tracker)

Using different software? We build around what you already have, so you never have to switch tools to automate.

    Before and after

The manual way vs. the automated way

    Without automation

Without automation, a project architect has to notice problems after they've already happened, then scramble to fix them manually one at a time. Over a month, those small manual steps add up to a significant amount of lost time.

    With this automation

    • Low-stock and reorder alerts before you run out
    • Vendor and subcontractor confirmations that chase themselves
    • Preventive maintenance scheduled by usage or date
    • Work orders and project milestones that update stakeholders
