Incident Detection, Alert Routing & Postmortem Kickoff

A done-for-you SaaS automation built for the DevOps Engineer, connecting Slack so the work below happens on its own.

    How it works

What this automation does, step by step

    1. When a monitoring alert fires, this automation classifies the incident severity, pages the on-call engineer via the escalation policy, creates a war room channel in Slack, posts the current system status to the status page, and begins logging the timeline automatically so the postmortem document starts building itself from the first alert.

    2. Once the incident is resolved, a postmortem template is auto-populated with the timeline, alerting chain, and initial impact data, turning the most stressful part of the job into a more structured, less chaotic response.

    Tools it connects
    • Monitoring platform (e.g., Datadog, PagerDuty, or OpsGenie)
    • Zapier or Make.com
    • Slack (war room channel creation)
    • Statuspage.io (public status updates)
    • Notion or Confluence (auto-populated postmortem template)

Using different software? We build around what you already have, so you never have to switch tools to automate.

    Before and after

The manual way vs. the automated way

    Without automation

Left to a person, this means a devops engineer re-enters the same data more than once, double-checks it by hand, and still occasionally misses something. None of it is difficult, it's just slow, repetitive, and easy to fall behind on.

    With this automation

    • Expiration and renewal alerts on a 90, 60, and 30 day countdown
    • Signature and document chasers that escalate on their own
    • Deadline tracking for filings, permits, and inspections
    • An automatic audit trail of every notice sent
