What this automation does, step by step
Every sale that comes through an affiliate or influencer's unique link is automatically tracked back to its source using Refersion or ReferralCandy, attributing the order, commission rate, and payout amount without anyone cross-referencing UTM parameters by hand.
At the end of each pay period, Zapier or Make.com compiles a commission report per affiliate into Google Sheets, and approved payouts are pushed automatically through PayPal or Stripe rather than being calculated and issued manually one at a time.
Affiliates get a self-serve dashboard showing their real-time sales and pending commission, which keeps them motivated to keep posting without needing a status update from the marketing team.
