What this automation does, step by step
Guests join the waitlist at the host stand or by scanning a QR code from the sidewalk, entering their name, party size, and phone number instead of waiting for a buzzer or straining to hear their name called over restaurant noise.
As tables turn, the host taps "next" and the guest gets an automatic text letting them know their table is ready, with a second text sent if they don't check in within five minutes.
Wait time estimates update automatically based on how quickly parties ahead of them are actually being seated, not a fixed 20-minute guess, so guests can step away instead of crowding the entryway, and hosts spend far less time answering "how much longer" every ninety seconds.
