    Monthly Financial Close Checklist Automation

A done-for-you everyday business automation built for the CFO, connecting QuickBooks and Slack so the work below happens on its own.

    How it works

What this automation does, step by step

    1. On the first business day of every month, a standardized close checklist automatically spins up in Asana with every task assigned to the right team member: reconciling bank accounts in QuickBooks Online, reviewing accrued expenses, closing the accounts payable and receivable subledgers, and preparing management reports, each with its own deadline before the target close date.

    2. As each task is completed it's checked off automatically based on status updates, and any task still open 24 hours before the deadline triggers a Slack escalation to the controller.

    3. A finished close package, including the P&L and balance sheet exported from QuickBooks Online, gets compiled automatically into a shared Google Drive folder for leadership review.

    4. Finance teams using this consistently shave two to three days off their close cycle every single month.

    Tools it connects

Using different software? We build around what you already have, so you never have to switch tools to automate.

    Before and after

The manual way vs. the automated way

    Without automation

Without automation, this falls entirely on a cfo, who has to track every step by hand across emails, spreadsheets, and sticky notes. It's the kind of work that quietly eats hours every week.

    With this automation

    • Invoices generated the moment a job or milestone completes
    • Polite, escalating payment reminders that run on schedule
    • Failed payment recovery for subscriptions and memberships
    • Expense, commission, and reconciliation work handled automatically
